ALARM PERMITS & INFORMATION

| Moon Township Ordinance #402 requires that any property owner, lessee of property or person otherwise occupying a premises within Moon Township obtain a permit before putting or allowing to be put into operation any Alarm Device on that premises. This is not restricted to alarms that notify a second party but also includes alarms that can be seen or heard by a member of the public. Non-compliance to this ordinance can result in a $500 fine per offense.

FALSE ALARMS

| Each calendar year every resident and business is given three free false alarms. False alarm charges are as follows:
False alarms 4-5 = $25.00 each 6-10 = $50.00 each 11-25 = $100 each Residents are advised to make certain their alarm systems are updated and functioning properly. Should you accidentally set off your alarm, contact your alarm company immediately to advise them of the error. As the overwhelming majority of alarms are false, this amounts to a senseless waste of police resources and creates an unnecessary safety risk |
