Solicitation Permits

 

Except for those who are exempt, soliciting permits are required for all individuals going upon residential property within the Township of Moon to peddle/solicit.

Exempt individuals or organizations include children under 18 years of age soliciting or peddling on behalf of a non-profit, school or governmental organization; persons soliciting on behalf of a non-profit or neighborhood organization for either donations to, or membership in, such organization; persons peddling donated merchandise on behalf of a non-profit organization where the proceeds of the sale are used for a charitable purpose; and persons peddling on behalf of a religious organization where the proceeds of the sale are used to support such organization or for a charitable purpose.

Criminal Record Checks are required for all individuals going upon residential property within the Township of Moon to peddle/solicit. The record check can be obtained by accessing the following website: https://epatch.state.pa.us or by obtaining Pennsylvania State Police form SP-4-164 and sending it to Harrisburg. After you receive the criminal record check, an application must be filled out.

Fees for soliciting in Moon Township are:

$100.00/day per person, $250.00/week per person or $500.00/month per person.
